Oh no! Not another social media management tool! There are many social media and content marketing tools out there. Seriously, that's crazy! Last year, I started building a tool directory, but kind of gave up when I hit the 1,000 mark. I've written extensively about social media management tools. I've reviewed Hoot Suite a few times with pros and cons. I reviewed Sprout Social and compared the top 5 social media management tools. And I looked at the hidden prices of the best tools. I get contacted by many different tool vendors, asking me to check out their "cool new tool". Although I have had time to do a thorough review of most of these tools, the truth is that few tools stand out. Really? toolbox October 2018 Update I published this article in 2017 and updated it again in early 2018 as the Content Cal guys added many new features. Well, they did it again, but this time they launched a new version of Content Cal on October 1st.Yes, this is making my life difficult as I have to update this article, I just needed to share them with you.
Earlier in 2018, they added analytics, monthly calendar view, Bitly integration, category tags (for color coding), iOS app (for Instagram posting), and much more! They've also updated their pricing, making them much more accessible to employee data small businesses. Although there are many tools, Content Cal stands out.
It actually does something a little different! It is refreshing. Content Cal is a content management tool. It helps with the content creation process (for solopreneurs and teams) as well as content publishing. It's not really a complete social media management tool as it doesn't track comments or replies. But that's not Content Cal's purpose. I was very impressed with how it handles the content creation process. Especially for teams.
